Join us for Hack Karachi 2016, Karachi’s civic hack day as part of CodeAcross! CodeAcross is a weekend of civic hacking events around the world that coincide with International Open Data Day. Hack Karachi’s goal is to get Karachiites together to think creatively to address issues in Karachi’s society using the power of design and technology.
The event will be focused around researching, collaborating in a team, and determine solutions for various problems, rather than prototyping products. Alongside your team, a product mentor will be available to help develop your ideas into solutions. At the end of the day, you’ll pitch your idea to a panel of judges and receive feedback, especially on what ideas to carry forward or improve upon.
This event is organised by Hack Manchester, Manchester Digital Laboratory, Code for Pakistan, T2F, and the British Council.
Time: 11am – 7pm
Date: Saturday, 5th March, 2016
Venue: T2F, 10-C, Sunset Lane 5, Karachi
Urbanists, civic hackers, government staff, developers, designers, community organizers, and anyone with the passion to make their city better, are welcomed! Lunch, dinner, and tea breaks are included throughout the day.
