Civic Hackathons are events that spark civic engagement, bring together software designers, developers, and community organizers to solve their communities’ needs, and show what’s possible using technology.

How it works:

Kickstart

A three day event where we invite people from community, developers and subject specialists to identify civic issues that can solved through technology.
Create Teams2

Create Teams

People are divided into teams. Each team has at least 2 developers and 1 community member/ subject specialist. Code for Pakistan mentors help every team; get set go.
Design Prototype3

Design Prototype

Each team come up with a prototype of their idea and present it to judges and everyone else. Everyone watches these presentations and vote for best idea in different categories.
Winners Announced4

Winners Announced

On Day 3; final day of hackathon; Judges announce the best ideas. Prizes are distributed and projects are taken up for scale. Everyone goes home happy; for they have played their role in making our society better place to live in.
