Q: Is there something your town/city is famous for, or something interesting or unique about it?
A: I belong to Peshawar, and Peshawar is famous for chapli kababs.
Q: Favourite subject in school? A favorite course at university?
A: I have done my Bachelor’s in Computer Sciences from the University of Peshawar. My favorite subject is computer science because I have always been interested in I.T.
Q: Work experience?
A: I have five years of work experience in Graphic Designing UI UX / Video Editing. I served as a (B.D.O) for one year at NEXT TECHNOLOGY. I groomed myself working as a web, graphic & printing designer there. I also have experience of working as a web/graphic designer at I-FAST SOLUTIONS for about one year. Moreover, I served as a UI/UX Designer and helped senior designers at Wings Consultants for about one year. I also have a 2-year experience of working with Precise tech solutions as a web/graphic designer.
Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: I am fond of listening to music and street racing.
Q: Which government department were you assigned to work with? What solution did you work on?
A: I was working with the Local Government Department to develop the Public Toilet Finder app.
Q: Other achievements you want to share?
A: One thing I would like to mention is that I had no financial support from my family and had to work a full-time job while pursuing my Economics degree. This taught me how to prioritize my time, build productive habits, and stay focused on my goals. I’m proud of this accomplishment, and I feel that what I learned during this time is going to serve as a significant advantage in my career.
Q: How has your experience of the Fellowship program and working with the government been like? What were the challenges? What were the positive aspects?
A: It was a great experience working with the government. I built strong connections in the Fellowship Community and got a chance to connect with Code for All Partners. I also got an opportunity to enhance my technical and soft skills.
Q: What was your favorite part of being a Fellow?
A: Being able to work on unique projects which haven’t been worked on by anyone else before.
Q: What was the unique quality you brought to the Fellowship?
A: Efficiency and meeting deadlines.
Q: What do you hope will be the impact of the work that you did? What do you hope this will achieve?
A: It will solve the hygiene problem and promote cleanliness while promoting the accessibility of toilets to citizens.
Q: What is one civic/social problem in your community/hometown that you think needs to be solved urgently?
A: Mismanagement and traffic congestion.
Q: What is your favorite book/movie/tv show, and why?
A: My favorite movie is Fast and Furious because I am interested in motorsports myself.
Q: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
A: That I rap and write music myself.
Q: How would other people (friends, colleagues) describe you?
A: Someone who is family-oriented and easy-going.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would you choose and why?
A: Become an insect or flying animal so that I can fly and travel the world.
