Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
A: Hello, I am Nasar Khan from Buner. I am a graduate in Software Engineering from Abasyn University, Peshawar. I have two years of work experience as a Web Developer at the Career Maker Software House and Appsols Software House. My core expertise is in web technologies such as the core PHP framework and MVC framework. Currently, under the Fellowship, I have been assigned to the KP Government Livestock Department to develop a Laboratory Data Management System. I look at the Fellowship Program as a professional and personal Capacity-building project.

 

  Q: What project would you consider your most significant career accomplishment to date?

A: I have completed many projects but one of the significant ones is  Marhaba Hatta Cleaning services.

 

Q: How do you think your previous managers/coworkers would describe working with you?

A: They are all satisfied with my work. They will surely describe me as punctual.

 

Q: Were you keen to be selected in the KP Fellowship program or you just applied scrolling through the web?

A: Yes, I was keen to be selected in the KP Fellowship Program.

 

Q: What are your thoughts about the emerging technology culture in KP?

A: Technology will become more and more prevalent in society, but it will take a lot of time.

 

Q: On what project are you working here? How is it helping you to build your capacity?

A: I am working for the Livestock Department to develop a Lab Management System.

 

Q: How do you deal with different personalities in the Fellowship team?

A: All the fellows are amazing. We all get along well and everyone is very professional.

 

Q: What do other Fellows say is your best quality?

A: That I am a good programmer.

 

Q: What three things do you need to be successful in the Fellowship program?

A: Work on time, learn quickly and deliver on time.

 

Q: What do you feel about the work environment here, would you recommend any improvements?

A: The work environment is amazing.

 

Q: Is it better to be perfect and late, or good and on time?

A: Good and on time.

 

Q: If your boss asked you to jump, would you ask how high? Or, would you ask, why do you want me to jump?

A: I will ask why do you want me to jump.

 

Q: What are you passionate about?

A: Learning things.

 

A: If you could have dinner with any two people from history, who would you choose and why?

A: Bacha Khan Baba, because he was a transformative leader.

 

Q: Would you like to say something to our readers?

A: The KP Government Innovation Fellowship is an amazing program for learning and growth, both professionally and personally. I highly recommend this program to everyone.
