Q: How has your education prepared you for this job?

A: As I have an undergraduate degree in computer sciences, it became routine for me to learn different programming languages and so I chose Android as my field. I have learned many new skills in this particular field and I am fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to work in Android app development as part of the KP Fellowship.

Q: Did you learn any Android development-related skills through the web?

A: Yes, I have gone through numerous websites like Stack Overflow and GitHub, where I learned various skills for Android development. YouTube tutorials have been a great guide as well.

Q: Tell us about your overall work experience.

A: The experience is absolutely amazing so far. I am enjoying my time in the Fellowship.
Q: Tell me about something you struggled with early in your career and how you overcame it.

A: I have always been quite shy. However, I have been pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone and make the necessary changes in myself to grow in my career.

Q: What have you done professionally that is not an experience you’d want to repeat?

A: Sharing my colleague’s code without his permission. I did it once but I won’t repeat that mistake again.

Q: Were you keen to be selected in the KP Fellowship Program or did you just apply casually?

A: Yes, I really wanted to get selected for the Fellowship Program so I could work on different government projects.

Q: What significance does the Fellowship Program hold in your professional career?

A: It holds a key significance in my career as it will push my knowledge and skills forward and will be helpful in my future endeavors.

A: I am a team player, which is important in any organization. Also, I believe my expertise in Android development and Java is an asset to the Fellowship team.

Q: What role are our Fellows/mentors playing in shaping and guiding you?

A: The mentors’ support has been great so far. They are supportive and helpful whenever there is a need and that applies to the other Fellows as well, whether it is assisting me in my project or guiding me on what features I should work on.

Q: What is your philosophy towards teamwork?

A: Teamwork is very essential for boosting confidence and it does play an important role while doing any project, be it government-based or private.

Q: What would you like to change (positively) in our organization, and how would you do that?

A: Frequent visits, at least once a week, to specific departments to have more interaction with government officials.

Q: What personal or professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

A: I was top of my class in my many semesters throughout my BSCS at university and I am quite proud of that.
