1 – 31 December 2017After a very successful first and second batch, we have launched our 3rd batch of the KP Civic Innovation Fellowship Program 2017. This time the Fellows would be following the tagline of the program Explore, Innovate, Create and Improve to develop effective solutions for the public services. The third cycle of the KP Civic Innovation Fellowship Program has completed. This time we hired 20 full time technologists, who had expertise ranging from creating intricate animations to writing clean code. The projects and government departments that the Fellows worked with are: * Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB)- A web based Crowdfunding platform which would serve as a bridge between investors and startups emerging from the province. * Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) -An android based crowdsourced complaint system with a web based dashboard enabling the public to report hygiene and sanitation related issues in and around Peshawar and equipping the government department to respond effectively and efficiently to those complaints. * Directorate of Industries and Commerce - A web based file management and record digitization system which will replace the existing manual process and increase the efficiency with which societies, NGOs and madrassas can be registered and information can be updated. * Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Traffic Police - An android application containing 6 different modules including a complaint system, emergency contacts, traffic education, chalaan (ticketing), and driving license verification system. * Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Corporation - An information portal meant to help local and international tourists explore Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This portal is to provide information ranging from famous spots to details about resorts, restaurants and events happening at a specific location.
