Government supply chain operations often suffer from fragmented records, manual processes, and limited visibility across stakeholders. These gaps can lead to delays, data inconsistencies, and reduced transparency from production to delivery.
Developed under the Civic Innovator Program by students from CECOS University, Smart-Chain is a digital supply chain management platform designed to enable secure, real-time tracking and coordination across the supply chain. The system uses a microservices-based web architecture with QR code integration to provide end-to-end order visibility, from inventory and warehouse operations to logistics and delivery.
By introducing digital tracking and structured workflows, Smart-Chain demonstrated strong potential to improve transparency, coordination, and efficiency across supply chain operations, while laying the groundwork for future integration of IoT sensors and blockchain-based record systems.
