DocSeek was a geo-location-based health service and health practitioner search engine for the health sector of Pakistan. People could search nearby health facilities, doctors, and hospitals. The results were returned based on the geo-location distance. This search engine rated hospitals, doctors, and health services based on user reviews. This rating system helped users rate health services based on their experiences and also helped public sector health departments improve their performance. Doctors could register themselves with DocSeek, which helped them widen their patient base.
Users could bookmark doctors and health facilities to access their information even when they didn’t have internet access. They could also send doctors' information via SMS to their friends and relatives.
