After the legislation was passed for the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Regions (FATA), a Chief Secretary Delivery Unit (CSDU) was established to monitor the ongoing programs for the newly merged districts from FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In this regard, a team of Fellows supported the CSDU in developing a reporting system. This system enabled the department to collect data from developments under the Health and Education departments and share it directly with the Chief Secretary.
