Inspired by Code for America’s Honolulu Answers, Rehnuma was developed under the first cycle of the KP Government Innovation Fellowship Program in 2014, as a solution for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government with a new approach to make it easier for people to navigate city information and services quickly.
Rehnuma was a citizen-focused website that offered FAQs around government services with a clean, and easy-to-navigate design. The content was organised based on citizen understanding, with the aim to answer questions in the simplest way possible.
Rehnuma was designed to be very user-friendly. It decluttered the govt website experience, and it solved a problem people ordinarily have. Although no longer active the open source code can be reused to launch similar initiatives around the world.
