A Fellowship Team from the Fellowship 2015 cycle partnered with the Traffic Police department to (1) build a new token-based system for getting new driver licenses, and (2) develop a mobile application to allow the real-time reporting of traffic violations onto a centralised server, thus enabling the authorities to make smart decisions based on real-time data from the field. The Android app was accompanied by a Web app that allowed department officials to view the data visualized on a Google Map. This app has already been deployed and was being used by traffic wardens in the field!
