Hi there!

When public services are hard to use, they become hard to trust.

This April, we launched two initiatives to change that — tools built to make governance more accessible, usable, and human-centred.

From an open-source design system to an AI chatbot that answers real questions, we’re designing public tech that opens doors, not builds walls.

Digital Design Nizam: Built for Belonging

“If a citizen can’t use your product, it’s not a service — it’s a barrier.”
Masna Bin Umeed, UX Strategist, CfP

Public websites shouldn’t feel like puzzles.

That’s why we created Digital Design Nizam — Pakistan’s first open-source design system for government digital services. It’s built to reflect how real people use technology across languages, devices, and abilities.

  • RTL and Urdu language support
  • Screen-reader and keyboard navigation
  • Local visual identity, dark mode ready
  • Built with TailwindCSS for modern dev stacks

Gov GPT: Access to Government Information, Instantly

Gov GPT: your AI-powered guide to navigating government

Many citizens struggle to access clear, reliable information about government rules, policies, and procedures. With limited official channels, confusion is common — and trust suffers.

Gov GPT is our response.

Developed under the KP Government Innovation Fellowship Program at Durshal’s Government Innovation Lab, Gov GPT is an AI chatbot trained on official documentation to deliver accurate, up-to-date answers — instantly.

  • Answers grounded in verified government documents
  • Access to policies, rules, and guidelines
  • Built with Meta’s LLaMA 3.0 AI platform

🤖 Try Gov GPT (Beta)

Gov GPT isn’t just another chatbot. It’s a tool for transparency, trust, and access — built with citizens in mind.

Built by Fellows, Powered by Purpose

Tabinda Qudrat, CfP Fellow and civic tech builder

Tabinda Qudrat, a current Fellow in our 8th cohort and alum of the KP Women Civic Digital Internship, helped bring Gov GPT to life.

She started with limited access to tech. Today, she’s building AI tools that make government more accessible for everyone.

“Accessibility isn’t just about technology — it’s about opening doors.
This work gave me the chance to build something that helps others find their way, too.”

And just for fun...

We came across this headline recently:

Artificial Intelligence can run the world better than humans, says researcher” — Dawn

Do you agree? 😄 Try out Gov GPT and see how close we are to AI helping us navigate governance better than ever.
