The KP Women Civic Digital Internship is a six-month remote program for women graduates offering tech skills and hands-on experience in Information Technology.
Interns work on digital solutions to improve public service and citizen engagement, through self-paced learning, online mentorship, and real-world projects with government departments.

Learning Tracks
This Full Stack Web Development course covers both Front End and Back End development. The Front End focuses on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, using tools like Visual Studio Code and Figma to build responsive layouts, templates, and projects such as CV/resumes and dynamic web pages. The Back End introduces PHP, covering syntax, forms, loops, and CRUD operations, along with database integration for input/output and admin templates. Practical projects combine Front End and Back End development, emphasizing real-world applications like user registration forms, media integration, and full-stack website templates.
This course introduces Machine Learning and Data Science, covering key applications like Computer Vision, NLP, and differences between Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Analysts. Tools such as Google Colab (for GPU) and Anaconda Navigator (for local work) are explored, alongside Python libraries like Pandas, Matplotlib, and nltk for tasks like data cleaning, visualization, and web scraping. Hands-on exercises working with datasets from Kaggle, performing real-world data cleaning, and creating visualizations. The program also emphasizes practical skills, such as setting up Fiverr gigs, building resumes/cover letters for Data Science careers, and completing Google Data Analytics and Machine Learning foundation courses.
This course covers Web Development fundamentals, focusing on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. It begins with HTML basics, including tags, attributes, elements, and semantic structure, followed by CSS concepts like selectors, box model, margin/padding, and responsive design with media queries. JavaScript topics include variables, operators, conditional statements, loops, functions, data types, DOM manipulation, classes, and tasks, leading to practical projects.The course also integrates Bootstrap for efficient styling, components, and responsive design.
This course introduces UI/UX Design, covering its core elements (usable, equitable, enjoyable, and useful) and employment opportunities such as UX designers, researchers, and engineers. It explores the UX Design Process (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Testing), user-centered design, and research methods like interviews, surveys, and usability studies. Key topics include personas, user flows, card sorting, color theory, typography, and tools like Figma, Miro, and FigJam for wireframing, prototyping, and testing. The course emphasizes design sprints, empathy mapping, and customer segmentation, with practical projects focusing on refining designs, creating information architecture, banners, brochures, and presentations to enhance team collaboration and user experience.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Flutter and Dart, covering their features, architecture, and comparisons with other frameworks like React Native and Ionic. It focuses on Flutter's widget-based structure, and building UI through code. Key concepts include creating and styling widgets, managing layouts, and advanced components like ListView, GridView, Buttons, SnackBars, and navigation tools. Students will learn app development workflows, including setting up Flutter on Windows, utilizing libraries, and implementing practical projects like login systems, image upload, and profile updates using Firebase. Advanced topics include MVVM architecture, gesture detection, bottom navigation bars, and managing UI responsiveness, providing a full-stack approach to Flutter app development.
